Part-Time Van Driver – Dog Adoption Events

Organization: HART (Homeless Animals Rescue Team)
Location: Pick up in Culpeper, VA or Little Washington, VA to Chantilly, VA (Roundtrip)
Schedule: Saturdays (some Sundays), approximately 6 to 7 hours per week
Pay: $150

HART (Homeless Animals Rescue Team), a no-kill animal rescue organization serving Northern Virginia, is seeking a reliable and caring part-time van driver to help transport dogs safely to and from weekly adoption events. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and wants to support rescue dogs on their journey to finding loving homes.

Position Responsibilities

• Safely transport dogs to and from HART adoption events on Saturdays and occasional Sundays.
• Handle dogs with care, patience, and attention to their comfort and safety.
• Maintain a calm, responsible, and professional presence while transporting animals.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with HART volunteers, staff, and event coordinators.
• Follow assigned schedules, routes, and transport instructions.
• Help ensure the van is used responsibly and kept in good condition during transport.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be comfortable driving a van and transporting dogs safely.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and available most Saturdays and an occasional Sunday for approximately 6-7 hours.
• Must be good with animals and able to interact with dogs in a calm, caring manner.
• Must be a good communicator and comfortable working with volunteers and staff.
• Previous animal handling or rescue experience is helpful but not required.
